So I thought today was going to be one of THOSE days. You know, the days that nothing goes right?
Yesterday I had a lot of stuff going. Between a performance, opera practice, and a competition, I was exhausted. I mean, hey, going from Handel to Verdi to Charpentier will do that to you!
So this morning my alarm went off. No problem, I thought. I don’t need to be up for another half hour. And I already have a 2nd alarm set. So I went back to sleep. 7:50 rolls around and I wake up to the 10-minute bell. It’s ok. It’s 7:50. I have 10 minutes before I need to get up for my 8:00. My 8:00!!! O no!!! So I texted my friend saying I would be there late but I was coming. Of course, my homework wasn’t done. It never is when it you really need it to be. Class ended up being fine. my teacher was really understanding, and I’m 1 of 5 students anyway (apparently no one wants to take German at 8:00 in the morning. I can’t imagine why not :P), so everything was ok.
But then I was looking at my homework for later today which I didn’t get done because of the busyness last night, and realized that I have none. Usually I have a quiz on Tuesdays that encompasses 50+pages of reading. Usually I have Counterpoint homework that can be tricky at the very least.
So all in all, today might just turn out all right. I got an extra hour of sleep, and I didn’t miss too much in the way of class. maybe I’ll even have extra time today! Thank you, Lord. 🙂
