Sometimes knitting in the break room is a good thing

Sometimes instead of looking dorky you look skilled. Sometimes people wish they were as creative as you.  And sometimes they ask you to knit for them. Growing up I never saw myself as someone who would do crafts for a living – and I don’t. But recently several of my coworkers have seen my handiwork and wanted it for themselves. And they are willing to pay good money for it. Because of their support and interest I may be setting up an Etsy shop in the near future. I will definitely post more about it if it all pans out. For now, I have some finished items to show you.

Cup Sleeves in black and red for a Carolina Gamecocks fan:

Knitted in Peaches and Creme (black) and Sugar and Creme (wine), pattern is my own.

Note to self: wearing one’s own creations is a great way to raise awareness of one’s craft and to garner sales. Example: with Valentine’s Day looming close I wore my tatted red heart earrings. 2 coworkers asked for a pair, one in red, the other in black. They liked their earrings very much.
