New and Improved

Hello again, friends.

Today I want to tell you about some new items I have added to my shop. Regrettably, it has been quite a while since I’ve made time to update my shop on Etsy, but no more! I aim to add more items every week or so for a while to gear up for Christmas.

I recently added this ribbon rose hairclip.

Minnie Mouse

I’ve been working on a few new ideas for the shop recently, experimenting with different articles and techniques. So hopefully I will have several new things to show you next week. But I do have one new item to show you: a Minnie Mouse Headband! I wore this to work the other day and was given so many compliments. Once coworker even called me Minnie! She was my favourite when I was a little girl.

In other news, this is my 200th post. Thank you to everyone who has ever read or followed my blog. You’ve made a difference in my life. I hope I’ve been able to brighten your day for the last 2 years.

Hobbes

Hello again, friends! I’m sorry I’ve been away for a bit. Life has been a little crazy lately. Let me show you what I’ve been working on!

Monday was my roommate’s birthday. She is a singer like me, and graduates tomorrow with a Bachelor’s in Music. Yaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Big round of applause! Well, a month or two ago I asked her what she wanted for her birthday. I was also scrolling through patterns on Ravelry at the time and found this wonderful pattern for Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes. My roommate immediately piped up and said that was what she wanted for her birthday. Elated that she actually wanted something I could make, I dutifully went to the store and bought the yarn and needles I needed. And then it all sat there in a pile, waiting for me to get some motivation. Well, the Thursday or Friday before her birthday I figured I should probably start the project so Hobbes would actually be done for her birthday. It was a tight squeeze. I may have embroidered his face at the beginning of the party and given him to her a little damp, but she loves him anyway. I’m a little sad I didn’t get to keep Hobbes for myself!
